On April 24, 2010, the Teatro del Baglio Villafrati hosted Madonnas of Beslan (Aut-out company, Rome), winner of MArte Live price 2009,for the theatre section. The work returns the tragedy in Beslan in September 2004 when a Chechen suicide commandos stormed a school in the city and held hostage for 56 hours, about 1.200 people, killing many, including 186 children. In a crucial stage space and without frills, two female figures represent the hundreds of “Madonnas”, mothers and teachers, who have lived the tragedy to survive when in fact their children are dead. They are women who wait in vain, women who knock on doors (perhaps to ours) that will not open, women looking for answers, women and heroines, which invite us not to look the other way. The evidence strong, unsettling of common women alternate with shiny reflections on each other, based on the investigation of Anna Politkovskaya, the Russian journalist murdered in Moscow in 2006. Madonnas of Beslan is a show full, modern, who moved but immediately thereafter, rejoin the human experience with that policy, avoiding the Aristotelian catharsis and reconnecting to the highest civic theatre. It is a refined artistic operation that Chiara Tomarelli and Ilenia Caleo show us but it is a true story that they tell us, so that their performance does not suggest solutions or consolatory views preconceptions but arises as research work in the round.

Le 24 avril 2010, le Teatro del Baglio de Villafrati a reçu Madonne di Beslan (compagnie Aut-out, Rome), spectacle vainqueur du prix MArte Live 2009, dans la section théâtre. L’œuvre retrace la tragédie ayant eu lieu à Beslan en septembre 2004, lorsqu’un commando de kamikazes tchétchènes fit irruption dans une école de la ville et tint en otage pendant 56 heures environ 1200 personnes, en en tuant un grand nombre, parmi lesquels 186 enfants. Dans un espace scénique essentiel et sans oripeaux, deux personnages féminins incarnent les centaines de « Madones », mère et enseignantes, qui ont vécu la tragédie de survivre à leurs propres enfants. Il s’agit de femmes qui attendent en vain, de femmes qui frappent à des portes (peut-être même à la nôtre) qui ne s’ouvriront pas, de femmes qui cherchent des réponses, de femmes vaincues et héroïques, qui nous invitent à ne pas ignorer. Les témoignages forts, bouleversants, des femmes communes s’alternent avec des réflexions lucides sur l’événement, basées sur les enquêtes de Anna Politkovskaja, la journaliste russe assassinée à Moscou en 2006. Madonne di Beslan est un spectacle complet, moderne, qui émeut et mêle les aspects humains et politiques en évitant la catharsis aristotélique et en se référant au plus prestigieux théâtre civique. Il s’agit d’une opération artistique très raffinée, qui nous est présentée par Chiara Tomarelli et Ilenia Caleo, mais l’histoire qu’elles nous racontent est une histoire vraie ; leur spectacle ne suggère donc pas de solutions consolatoires ou de points de vues préconçus, mais se place comme un travail de recherche complet.

Il 24 Aprile 2010, il Teatro del Baglio di Villafrati ha ospitato Madonne di Beslan (compagnia Aut-out, Roma), spettacolo vincitore del premio MArte Live 2009, alla sezione teatro. L’opera restituisce la tragedia avvenuta a Beslan nel Settembre 2004, quando un commando di kamikaze ceceni irruppe in una scuola della città e tenne in ostaggio, per 56 ore, circa 1200 persone, uccidendone molte, tra le quali 186 bambini. In uno spazio scenico essenziale e privo di orpelli, due figure femminili incarnano le centinaia di “Madonne”, madri e insegnanti, che hanno vissuto la tragedia di sopravvivere ai propri bambini. Sono donne che aspettano invano, donne che bussano a porte (forse anche alla nostra) che non si apriranno, donne che cercano delle risposte, donne sconfitte ed eroiche, che ci invitano a non voltarci dall’altra parte. Le testimonianze forti, sconvolgenti delle donne comuni, si alternano a lucide riflessioni sulla vicenda, fondate sulle inchieste di Anna Politkovskaja, la giornalista russa assassinata a Mosca nel 2006. Madonne di Beslan è uno spettacolo completo, moderno, che commuove ma, immediatamente dopo, ricongiunge la vicenda umana con quella politica, evitando la catarsi aristotelica e ricollegandosi al più alto teatro civile . E’ una raffinatissima operazione artistica quella che Chiara Tomarelli e Ilenia Caleo ci presentano ma è una storia vera quella che ci raccontano, così che il loro spettacolo non suggerisce soluzioni consolatorie o punti di vista preconcetti ma si pone come lavoro di ricerca a tutto tondo.
