Łódź, miasto otwarte na kreatywność będzie po raz czwarty gospodarzem imprezy dedykowanej jednej z najbardziej dynamicznie rozwijających się gałęzi przemysłu muzycznego. Tegoroczny Międzynarodowy Festiwal Producentów Muzycznych Soundedit odbędzie się w ostatni weekend października. Będzie świętem wszystkich pasjonatów oraz wielbicieli dobrych dźwięków tworzonych przez wyjątkowych artystów. Przez trzy lata obecności na mapie kulturalnych wydarzeń udaje nam się konsekwentnie rozwijać formułę imprezy, zyskaliśmy wielu wspaniałych przyjaciół i stałe grono odbiorców. Bardzo cieszy nas wsparcie medialne: Radiowej Trójki, Gazety Wyborczej, Estrady i Studio. Dotychczasowe edycje festiwalu zaszczycili swoją obecnością m.in.: Daniel Lanois, Gareth Jones, Adrian Sherwood, Boris Wilsdorf, Gordon Raphael, Peter Hook, Neil Hannon, Tackhead, Mad Professor, Tanita Tikaram, Andrzej Smolik, Adam Toczko, Daniel Miller i Flood. Po roku przerwy Festiwal powraca do miejsca swych narodzin – klubu Wytwórnia i Toya Studios, miejsc wręcz stworzonych dla potrzeb naszych gości i publiczności. Jak zwykle do Łodzi zawitają najwybitniejsi artyści konsolety ze świata i kraju. Warsztaty i spotkania poprowadzą m.in.: Haydn Bendall, Youth, Andy Jackson, Maciej Polak, Wojtek Pilichowski, Steve Osborne, Łukasz Kruszewski i wielu innych. Swoje produkty zaprezentują dystrybutorzy firm: Meyer Sound, Digico, Sennheiser, Shure, Avid. Nawiązaliśmy też współpracę ze Stowarzyszeniem Twórców ZAIKS, która zaowocuje ciekawymi spotkaniami dotyczącymi prawa autorskiego. Z wielką radością przyjęliśmy wiadomość, iż Pan Eugeniusz Rudnik, twórca Studia Eksperymentalnego Polskiego Radia odwiedzi Łódź, by opowiedzieć o historii tego legendarnego miejsca i odebrać nagrodę „Człowiek ze Złotym Uchem”. Kolejna statuetka trafi do basisty zespolu Killing Joke – Martina „Youtha” Glovera, producenta nagrań m.in.: The Orb, The Cult, Primal Scream czy projektu Fireman, który współtworzył z Paulem McCartneyem. Nareszcie spełni się wielkie marzenie Festiwalu, aby nagrodę otrzymał producent z rąk artysty. Tim Simenon, lider zespołu Bomb The Bass, producent „Ultra” Depeche Mode odbierze z rąk Gavina Fridaya nagrodę za produkcję wydanego w 1995 roku albumu „Shag Tobacco”. Gavin Friday wokalista legendarnego zespołu Virgin Prunes od ponad 40 lat jest jednym
z najciekawszych twórców muzyki alternatywnej. Znany z utworu „Angel” ze ścieżki dźwiękowej do filmu „Romeo + Julia”, współpracy ze swym najlepszym kumplem z lat szkolnych – Bono przy soundtracku do filmu „W Imię Ojca”, roli w filmie „Śniadanie na Plutonie” w zeszłym roku wydał swój kolejny album „catholic”.
W Polsce zagra po raz pierwszy uświetniając sobotnią Galę wręczenia nagrody „Człowiek ze Złotym Uchem”. Tuż przed Galą 30-lecie „Czarnego Albumu” świętować będzie koncertowo Brygada Kryzys, której muzycy spotkają się też z publicznością, by opowiedzieć o kulisach powstania tego legendarnego albumu.
W piątek, pierwszego dnia Festiwalu, odbędą się niezwykłe koncerty. Na scenie klubu Wytwórnia pojawi się The Eden House, którego gitarzystą jest Andy Jackson, producent nagrań Pink Floyd. Po The Eden House po raz pierwszy w Polsce zagra David J. – basista zespołu Bauhaus, który właśnie w Łodzi rozpocznie trasę promującą jego kolejny solowy album „Not Long For This World”.
Ostateczna lista festiwalowych atrakcji nie jest jeszcze zamknięta, więcej szczegółów już niebawem. I Am The Sound – jestem brzmieniem. Jestem dźwiękiem. Jestem muzyką. To hasło tegorocznej edycji Festiwalu Soundedit. Chcemy bowiem wykazać, że zawsze w centrum wszystkich działań związanych z powstawaniem i tworzeniem muzyki stoi Człowiek. Pod hasłem “I Am The Sound” odbędą się również poprzedzające Festiwal warsztaty i wydarzenia, której jak zwykle będą miały miejsce przy głównej ulicy Łodzi – Piotrkowskiej.

Łódź – a city open to creativity – for the fourth time will be hosting an event dedicated to one of the most dynamically developing branch of the music industry. This year, the International Festival of Music Producers and Sound Designers Soundedit will take place on the last weekend of October and it will be a real feast for all the lovers of good sounds created by extraordinary artists. For the last three years of our presence on the map of cultural events, we have effectively developed the festival formula, gained a lot of wonderful friends and won regular public.
We are delighted to have media support provided by the National Radio Program 3, Gazeta Wyborcza, Estrada i Studio. In the previous editions of the festival, we had an immense pleasure to invite such outstanding quests as Daniel Lanois, Gareth Jones, Adrian Sherwood, Boris Wilsdorf, Gordon Raphael, Peter Hook, Neil Hannon, Tackhead, Mad Professor, Tanita Tikaram, Andrzej Smolik, Adam Toczko, Daniel Miller and Flood. After a short break the festival is going back to the place of its birth: the club Wytwórnia and Toya Studios, the two venues that are as if made for the needs of our guests and public. As usual, the most prominent audio console artists from Poland and from around the world will visit Łódź in those days. Workshops and meetings will be conducted by such figures as Haydn Bendall, Youth, Andy Jackson, Maciej Polak, Wojtek Pilichowski, Steve Osborne, Łukasz Kruszewski and others. Products of such brands as Meyer Sound, Digico,Sennheiser, Shure and Avid will be presented by their distributors. We also started cooperation with the Artists Association ZAIKS which will result in a series of interesting meetings on the subject of copyright. We are delighted to confirm that Eugeniusz Rudnik, the founder of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio, will visit Łódź in order to tell the story behind this legendary institution and receive the “Man With The Golden Ear” award. Another statue will be presented to the bass player of Killing Joke, Martin “Youth” Glover who produced, among others, The Orb, The Cult, Primal Scream or the Fireman project co-created with Paul McCartney. Our dream of a producer receiving an award from an artist is coming true this year: Tim Simenon, the leader of Bomb The Bass and the producer of Depeches “Ultra” from will receive a statuette from Gavin Friday’s hands for the production of the 1995 album “Shag Tobacco”. Gavin Friday, the vocalist of the legendary group Virgin Prunes, has been one of the most interesting alternative music makers for the last 40 years. He has been known for the song “Angel” from the “Romeo and Juliet” soundtrack, the cooperation with his school mate Bono on the “In the Name of the Father” soundtrack, the role in the film “Breakfast on Pluto”. Last year he released a new album “Catholic”. For the first time in Poland, he will play on Saturday, adding splendour to the Award Ceremony during which the main award “Man With The Golden Ear” will be presented. Right before the ceremony, Brygada Kryzys will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary “Black Album” by giving a concert, after which the musicians will meet with the audience in order to reveal all about making of the legendary album. On the first day of the festival (Friday), two special concerts are planned: the scene of Wytwórnia will be occupied by The Eden House with a guitar player and Pink Floyd’s producer Andy Jackson. Right after that, for the first time in Poland, David J., a bass player from Bauhaus, will begin a tour promoting his new solo album “Not Long for This World”. The final list of all the festival attractions is not completed yet, more details will follow soon. I Am The Sound. I Am The Music. This is the motto of this year’s edition of the Soundedit Festival. We would like to show that among all the activities around the creation and emergence of music the Man is a central figure. The motto “I Am The Sound” will also authorize workshops and events taking place, as usual, in the main street in Łódź: Piotrkowska.
