To get my hands on pocket money I translate and I teach. But my life is basically dedicated to comics and illustration, academically, intelectually, etc. I am a comics critic based in Lisbon, Portugal, and I've also had the opportunity to teach about comics (theory, history, writing), organize exhibitions and publish high-profile zines on them. My main goal is to contribute to the ongoing discussion about comics in a serious, intelectual, broad-minded, culturally complicated and implicated manner... There is nothing new about this, bue we need to have more of this.
