Red Stamp Art Gallery opent Zaterdag 5 December 2015 OTHER LIGHTS, de eerste solotentoonstelling van Francesco Candeloro in Nederland.
De galerie, gevestigd in het hart van het historische centrum van Amsterdam, zal vanaf 5 december 2015 tot en met 25 februari 2016 5 kunstwerken en 6 fotografische werken van de Venetiaanse kunstenaar presenteren, waarbij op eenduidige wijze de meervoudige aspecten van een productie worden getoond. Verschillende en euritmische manieren van expressie worden binnen een origineel en zeer persoonlijk onderzoek verenigd, waarbij de intensiteit van licht / kleur als het medium bij uitstek en het lichte en transparante plexiglas als het meest geschikte materiaal worden beschouwd.
Voor de Nederlandse expositie in noordelijke hoofdstad heeft Candeloro het werk "Suspensions of Light (Amsterdam)" gecreëerd, een geheel nieuw stuk in gekleurd plexiglas dat behoort tot een reeks van kunstwerken die voortkomen uit plaatsen bezocht tijdens trips, waarbij de kunstenaar verschillende skylines van eenzelfde stad tekent (door het lasersnijden) en stratificeert.
Plexiglas, dit keer bedrukt met de industriële verfspuit, speelt een hoofdrol in de kubieke werken "Eyes 49 Kay" en "Eyes 7" uit de serie "Eyes", waarin Candeloro close-up gezichten van onbekende of bekende mensen vastlegt, personen die hij heeft ontmoet in de straat en bij andere gelegenheden. Aan de hand van plaatsen en personen geeft de starende blik van de kunstenaar ons visioenen van de continue stroom van een complexe en veelzijdige realiteit.
Een intiemere dimensie, als een chromatisch dagboek uit dynamische tekens, wordt uitgedrukt in de kunstwerken "boek" , met dubbel gebruik van open en gesloten werken van plexiglas en decoupage van papier en zwart krijt op acetaat: het delicate en narratief-poëtische wandtapijt van "Alternate Movements" en de glanzende doos-kist van "Directions (Free 6)".
De 6 foto's uit de cyclus "Times of the Light", gerangschikt om een uniek werk te componeren, ontwikkelen dezelfde poëzie en interpretatie van het tastbare en vervolgen op de voorgrond de dynamieken van licht en tijd: landschappen, vergezichten en perspectieven -bijna altijd gevangen in een stille, nachtelijke dimensie- waarbij de lichtbronnen, gefotografeerd met een lange belichtingstijd, worden gemarkeerd door paden en verblindende grafische elementen in het visuele veld.
OTHER LIGHTS is een niet te missen show en belangrijke ontmoeting met Francesco Candeloro, een unieke kunstenaar die in staat is om een ongewone en evenwichtige aspecten te vereniging in twee tegengestelde spanningen: kleur vs. tekening.
Francesco Candeloro, geboren in Venetië in 1974, volgt al jaren een gericht en diepgaand onderzoek; de oorsprong van een grote en relevante artistieke productie. De kunstenaar heeft internationaal geëxposeerd in talrijke belangrijke solo- en collectieve tentoonstellingen en installaties in bouwkundige en landschappelijke contexten. Belangrijk evenement dit jaar is zijn aanwezigheid in het Fortuny Museum in Venetië, als onderdeel van de prestigieuze expositie "Proportio", op de locatie waar in 2010 de magnifieke solotentoonstelling "City of Cities" plaatsvond.

Red Stamp Art Gallery will open on Saturday 5 December 2015 the exhibition OTHER LIGHTS, first solo show by Francesco Candeloro in the Netherlands.
The gallery, located in the heart of the historic center of Amsterdam, will present, from the 5th of December 2015 till the 25th of February 2016, 5 artworks and 6 photographic works by the Venetian artist, to catch in a unified manner different aspects of a production that conjugates, through different and eurythmic modes of expression, an original and extremely personal research which sees in the intensity of light/color the medium “par excellence”, and in the bright and transparent plexiglass the most congenial material.
On the occasion of the Dutch exhibition Candeloro has created and dedicated to the northern capital the artwork "Suspensions of Light (Amsterdam)", brand new piece in colored plexiglass that belongs to a series of works arising from places visited during his travels: the artist draws, by means of laser cut, different skylines of a city derived from visual photographic notes captured "on the road", manifesting, through the layering of shiny chromatisms, appearances in which the matter is dissolved in the radiation of synthetic colors.
The cubic artworks of the series “Eyes”, "Eyes 49 Kay" and "Eyes 7" are still in plexiglass, this time printed by means of the industrial airbrush: here Candeloro captures, in extreme close-up, faces of unknown or known persons met in the street and on other occasions: from places to people, the gaze of the artist gives us back visions of the continuous flow of a faceted and complex real and its perceived transcendent essence, where everyone and everything coexists with the others maintaining an own defined identity and the inscrutable nature of an incessant present pulsates in the ordinary everyday passing.
A more intimate dimension, near to a chromatic diary of dynamic signs, belongs to the artworks “book” with their double fruition of open and closed works, in plexiglass, decoupage on paper and black marker on acetate: the delicate and narrative poetic tapestry of "Alternate Movements "and the shiny coffer-box of “Directions (Free 6)".
The 6 shots of the cycle "Times of the Light", disposed to compose a single artwork, develop through conceptual and technical coherence the same poetic and interpretation of the sensible, continuing to put in the foreground also through the photographic medium the reciprocity of light and time: landscapes, views and perspectives are captured almost always in a silent nocturnal dimension where the light sources, photographed by means of long exposure times, delineate with trails and dazzling graphic traces the visual field, a mysterious world glowing for the intense vital shiver that passes through it.
OTHER LIGHTS, unmissable exhibition, represents an important encounter with Francesco Candeloro, a unique artist whose creative universe is based on themes and fundamental principles at the source of being, manifested through the light but earnest fashion of the operational "game" of art, a master who is able to lead to an unusual and balanced conjunction two antithetical tensions, the one toward color, tonality and atmosphere and the one toward project, drawing, method, proportion and rhythm of internal harmonic rules, thus generating an immediate and natural aesthetic appeal.
Francesco Candeloro, born in Venice in 1974, is pursuing from years a focused and in-depth investigation at the origin of a broad and important artistic production; he has exhibited internationally in numerous and relevant personal and collective exhibitions, installations in architectural and landscape contexts. It has to be reported this year his presence at Fortuny Museum in Venice, in the context of the prestigious exhibition "Proportio", preceded in 2010, in the same venue, from the magnificent personal show "City of Cities". Among other recent exhibitions we remember briefly: in 2015 the solo exhibition "Signs of Light" at A Arte Invernizzi, Milan; in 2014 the participation in the Fourth Edition of the Biennial of Contemporary Art "Del Fin del Mundo" (Argentina and Chile) and "Raum und Licht: Riccardo De Marchi + Francesco Candeloro" at the Neuer Kunstverein in Aschaffeburg, Germany; in 2012 the project with Arthur Duff "Somewhere Parallel - Altered Visions" at Ars Now Seragiotto, Padua, Italy; in 2011 the installation "Places of Time" at Palazzo Cordusio Unicredit, Milan, Italy; in 2010 the intervention “Intimate Places” in the Palladian Villa Pisani Bonetti in Bagnolo di Lonigo, Vicenza, Italy.

La galleria, locata nel cuore del centro storico di Amsterdam, presenterà, dal 5 Dicembre 2015 al 25 Febbraio 2016, 5 opere e 6 lavori fotografici dell' artista veneziano, per cogliere in modo unitario i molteplici aspetti di una produzione coniugante diverse ed euritmiche modalità espressive attraverso un' originale e personalissima ricerca che vede nell'intensità della luce/colore il medium per eccellenza e nel luminoso e trasparente plexiglass il materiale più congeniale.
In occasione della mostra olandese Candeloro ha realizzato e dedicato alla capitale nordica l'opera “Sospensioni di Luce (Amsterdam)”, pezzo inedito in plexiglass colorato che appartiene ad una serie di lavori originati da luoghi visitati nel corso di viaggi: l'artista disegna, tagliandoli al laser, diversi skyline di una stessa città ricavati da appunti visivi fotografici catturati “on the road”, manifestando, attraverso la stratificazione di lucenti cromatismi, apparizioni in cui la materia si dissolve nella radiazione di colori sintetici.
Sempre in plexiglass, questa volta stampato ad aerografo industriale, sono le opere cubiche “Occhi 49 Kay” e “Occhi 7” della serie “Occhi”, in cui Candeloro coglie in primissimo piano volti di persone sconosciute o note, incontrate per strada e in altre occasioni: dai luoghi agli individui, lo sguardo dell'artista ci restituisce visioni del flusso continuo di un reale sfaccettato e complesso e della sua percepita essenza trascendente, dove ciascuno ed ogni cosa convive con le altre in un'infinita rete di relazioni, pur mantenendo una propria definita identità e dove la natura misteriosa di un incessante presente pulsa nell'ordinario trascorrere del quotidiano.
Una dimensione più intima, da diario cromatico e di segni dinamici, appartiene alle opere “libro”, dalla doppia fruizione di lavori aperti e chiusi, in plexiglass con decoupage su carta e pennarello nero su acetato: il delicato e narrativo arazzo poetico di “Alterni Movimenti” e la lucida scatola-scrigno di “Direzioni (Libero 6)”.
Le 6 foto del ciclo “I Tempi della Luce”, disposte a comporre un'opera unica, sviluppano con coerenza concettuale e tecnica la stessa poetica ed interpretazione del sensibile, continuando a mettere in primo piano anche attraverso il medium fotografico la reciprocità di luce e tempo: paesaggi, vedute e scorci vengono catturati quasi sempre in una silenziosa dimensione notturna dove le fonti luminose, fotografate con tempi lunghi di esposizione, delineano con scie e grafismi abbaglianti il campo visivo, un mondo misterioso e acceso di un intenso brivido vitale.
OTHER LIGHTS, esposizione imperdibile, rappresenta un importante appuntamento di incontro con Francesco Candeloro, artista unico, il cui universo creativo è fondato su temi e principi essenziali all'origine dell'essere, manifestati nel modo leggero, ma serio, del “gioco” operativo dell'arte, maestro che è in grado di portare ad una inconsueta ed equilibrata congiunzione due antitetiche tensioni: quella verso il colore, il tonalismo e l'atmosfera e quella verso il progetto, il disegno, lo schema, la proporzione ed il ritmo di interne regole armoniche, generando un' immediata e naturale presa estetica.
Francesco Candeloro, nato a Venezia nel 1974, persegue da anni una focalizzata ed approfondita investigazione all'origine di una produzione artistica ampia e di rilievo; ha esposto internazionalmente in numerose e importanti mostre personali, collettive, installazioni in ambienti, contesti architettonici e paesaggistici. Da segnalare quest'anno la sua presenza al Museo Fortuny di Venezia, nell'ambito della prestigiosa rassegna “Proportio”, preceduta nel 2010 nella stessa sede dalla magnifica personale “Città delle città”. Tra le altre mostre recenti ricordiamo in sintesi: nel 2015 la personale “Segni di Luce” presso A Arte Invernizzi, Milano; nel 2014 la partecipazione alla IV Edizione della Biennale d'Arte Contemporanea “Del Fin del Mundo” (Argentina e Cile) e “Raum und Licht: Riccardo De Marchi + Francesco Candeloro” al Neuer Kunstverein in Aschaffeburg, Germania; nel 2012 il progetto con Arthur Duff “Somewhere Parallel – Alterate Visioni” presso Ars Now Seragiotto, Padova; nel 2011 l'installazione “Luoghi del Tempo” a Palazzo Cordusio Unicredit, Milano; nel 2010 l'intervento “Intimi Luoghi” nella palladiana Villa Pisani Bonetti a Bagnolo di Lonigo, in provincia di Vicenza.
