Le comité de sélection est présidé par la curatrice camerounaise Koyo Kouoh, qui a été conseillère curatoriale pour Documenta 12 (2007) et Documenta 13 (2012). À l’heure actuelle, elle est directrice et fondatrice de Raw Material Company, un centre d’art situé à Dakar.

Les 43 artistes finalistes, sélectionnés par le jury, voteront pour les vainqueurs des prix au cours de l’exposition finale, qui se tiendra à Milan en novembre 2015.
En plus des prix susmentionnés, les participants peuvent être sélectionnés pour exposer dans l’une des galeries partenaires, bénéficier d’une exposition globale grâce à des entretiens vidéos et des articles dédiés, mais aussi être présentés à 150 curateurs ayant participé aux éditions précédentes.
