Which new iconographies can represent the family?
In which ways can you question the family’s status as a socially significant institution today?

Francesca Fabiani, curator of photography collection at Rome’s MAXXI_Architettura, and Paul di Felice, professor at the University of Luxembourg, are curating ‘Familydom’, 4th edition of Visible White Photo Prize 2015. They are keen to see your photographic takes on these and other family issues.

Familydom is a photographic’s open call open to photographers and artists worldwide, without limits of age or experience.

5,000 € cash prizes:
2,500 € for the Best Project
1,500 € for the Runner-up Project
1,000 € for the Best Single Work

By 30 March 2015, 10 finalist projects and 5 single works will be selected by the international jury:
Peggy Sue Amison, Artistic Director, East-Wing, Dubai
Christian Gattinoni, Professor, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie, Arles
Elisa Medde, Managing Editor, Foam Magazine, Amsterdam

The finalist artworks will be exhibited from 15 May to 12 June 2015 at Fondazione Studio Marangoni, Florence, Italy, and will be included in a specially prepared catalogue for the show.

Deadline for entry is 28 February 2015.

Entry fees:
Single Work 20 €
Project is 70 € (includes upload of up to 10 images).

Familydom è una open call internazionale per opere e progetti fotografici aperta a fotografi ed artisti senza limiti di età e di esperienza.

10 progetti e 5 opere singole saranno selezionate da una giuria internazionale:

I finalisti esporranno le proprie opere dal 15 maggio al 12 giugno 2015 presso la Fondazione Studio Marangoni di Firenze e saranno inclusi in un catalogo appositamente pubblicato.

Il termine ultimo per aderire è il 28 febbraio il 2015.
