Fumetto 2015 hoists the anchor

Fumetto program 2015 is out now: Tardi, Pushwagner, Herr Seele, Dominique Goblet & Kai Pfeiffer, Die Not hat ein Ende, Pas de Deux, Barbara Meuli and the competition!

The tiny fish from the Luzerne Swimming pool have swarmed out to the oceans of the world. Except this time the tables have turned: water has been let out to make place in the tank for the really big catch. In Neubad, the Fumetto International Comic Festival Lucerne presents the most comprehensive retrospective to date of world famous French artist Tardi, and has invited the master himself onto the stage to present songs and charms against the violence of war. There can be, however, no victory without sacrifice: in order to descend into the world of the beautiful heroine Adèle, you will have to make your own way through the trenches.

Which shouldn't be too hard after 24 hours in Pushwagner's Soft City, since without a «Soft Pill», free will can once again move mountains. The exceptional Norwegian artist presents his grim and austere prophecy of society at the Museum of Art before he tears off in his ostentatious coloured Packard, perhaps to find the closest after-hour. Because dancing will last throughout the night for all it's worth. A Pas de Deux follows: the Swiss-Russian Artist duo will take the stage until your head is spinning. But first, a rendez-vous with Genf artist Barbara Meuli, where you will lose your mind completely. Or get an online date with Dominique Goblets and Kai Pfeiffers lonesome protagonist. Decked out in his birthday suit is how Cowboy Henk likes it, proclaimed daily by his creator Herr Seele in Hotel Schweizerhof.

But before you lose your mind to cowboys, dancing, and the heaving of the sea, we proclaim with pencil, page and guitar riff, Die Not hat ein Ende, because Fumetto has long since arrived in the hereafter!

Beside the 10 main exhibitions around 30 satellite exhibitions awake the festival to live. The satellites will be at local partner places like restaurants, stores, public libraries, etc. Satellite exhibitions are an important part of Fumetto and an excellent possibility for artists to present their work to an international audience for two weeks.

Fumetto - Int. Comix-Festival Lucerne is one of the most important comic events in Europe since more than 20 years. Fumetto does not only present renowned comic stars but also exhibitions of less known and innovatice artists of Lucerne, Switzerland and abroad. Beside the main exhibitions around 30 satellite exhibitions awake the festival to live. The satellites will be at local partners places like restaurants, stores, public instituions, etc. They help local partners as well as (comic) artists to a unique appearance.
