SPOR 2008 er et 24 timers eksperiment. Gennem koncerter, workshops, installationer, performance og suppekogning udfordrer festivalen oplevelsen af tiden - både den musikalske tid og den der forløber over 24 timer.
SPOR 2008 THE24HOUREXPERIMENT MAY 09-10 MUSIKHUSET AARHUS
Rammen for SPOR 2008 er et 24 timers forløb, hvor publikum og de deltagende kunstnere opfordres til at udforske musikalske processer som strækkes over lang tid eller repeteres. SPOR 2008 er samtidig en social aktion. Festivalen handler ikke kun om forholdet mellem værk og lytter, men også om forholdet lytterne imellem. Frem for annoncerede koncert-klokkeslæt vil det i højere grad være det personlige valg samt publikums udvekslinger med hinanden, der genererer publikums-gennemstrømningen på festivalen. Publikum opfordres til at lægge deres egen festivalrute, gå på opdagelse i Musikhuset og udfordre døgnets naturlige rytme - husk også soveposen! Det foregår altsammen i det nye Musikhus i Århus - fra fredag d. 9. maj kl 16:00 til lørdag d. 10. maj kl 16:00. Oplev bl.a. SPOR 2008 is a 24 Hour Experiment. The festival will explore and place emphasis on experiences with and over time - both musical time and the time that elapses during the course of a day.

The framework for SPOR 2008 is at the same time a social action. The festival concerns itself not only with the relationship between work and listener but also between the listeners themselves. Instead of announced concert times it will be personal choices as well as the public's exchanges with one another that generate their flow through the festival. The public is challenged to lay out their own festival route, to go on an expedition of exploration in Musikhuset Aarhus (the Concert Hall Aarhus) and challenge the natural rhythm of the day - don't forget your sleeping bag! SPOR08 will take place in the new Concert Hall in Aarhus, Denmark - from 9th May at 16:00 to 10th May at 16:00. The festival presents a wealth of orchestral music, performance, sound-installations, video-art and electronic music.
