The 11th edition of LPM - Live Performers Meeting begins on May 31, 2012 at the MACRO, Contemporary Art Museum, in Rome.

LPM is an international meeting of live video performers, video artists and vjs, that seeks to investigate the practices that most have influenced live video performance, The program of this XI edition reflects and investigates these trends, such as Live Cinema,
Video Mapping, Digital Freedoms,Visual gender,Visual Generativi,3D-Stereoscopic.

In the past two editions in 2011, that took place in Rome (IT) and Minsk (BY), we have hosted 640 participating artists representing more than 30 countries; 314 performances have been presented, from audiovisual performances, to vj sets and workshops; 10.500 the spectators who attended the events and 35.000 took part in the preview happenings.

Vj, artists, designers, professionals and the general public will be involved in the manifold planned activities: from experimental audiovisual performances, architectural mapping shows, and DJVJ sets to workshops, roundtables, and presentations of products and hardware, with a special regard for Free and Open Source projects. Meeting areas devoted to the interaction among the hundreds of participants will be the corollary for the whole duration of the event.

Registration to the meeting is FREE and its possible to subscribe by following the procedures of registration in the "participate" section of the website.
Registration is open until March 12, 2012.

In addition, this year LPM hosts once again the VJTorna, an international VJing competition that offers to both the performers and the audience a unique and exciting experience. Three days of battles among VJs, an international jury of experts, four categories Pre-production, VJ Champion Battle Champion and Best Live VJ Mapper, an Audience Award and technical sponsors who put their products up for grabs. Born in Budapest in 2004, today the VJTorna is a fixed appointment for VJs worldwide and further editions of the contest are to be launched during 2012 in Berlin, Sao Paolo, Bogotà, and Mexico City.

La XI edizione di LPM - Live Performers Meeting si terrà a Roma dal 31 Maggio al 3 Giugno 2012 presso il MACRO - Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Roma.

LPM è un meeting internazionale di live video performers, visual artist e vj, che si propone di indagare, anche attraverso la programmazione, le tendenze che piu’ hanno influenzato la creazione di performance di live video, quali: Live Cinema,
Video Mapping, Digital Freedoms,Visual gender,Visual Generativi,3D-Stereoscopic.

Nelle due edizioni 2011 di Roma (IT) e Minsk (BY) sono stati ospitati 640 artisti in rappresentanza di più' di 30 paesi, sono stati presentati 314 tra audio/video performances, vjset e workshop, sono intervenute10.500 persone nei giorni delle due edizioni del Meeting e circa 35.000 durante le varie preview.

Vj, artisti, creativi, professionisti del settore e grande pubblico saranno coinvolti nelle numerose attività: performance live e mapping performance si susseguiranno per l'intera durata della manifestazione, insieme a ore dedicate alla formazione e all'approfondimento delle più' interessanti ed innovative tematiche sulla visual culture, grazie al contributo di esperti, docenti e partner. Aree dedicate all'interazione e all'incontro faranno da corollario per tutta la durata dell'evento.

Anche quest’anno LPM ospita il VJTorna, un concorso internazionale di Vjing che offre ai performers e al pubblico un’esperienza unica ed entusiasmante. Tre giorni di duelli tra vj internazionali, una giuria di esperti, quattro categorie Pre-produzione, Vj Champion, Vj Battle Champion e Best Live Mapper, un pubblico che conferisce un Audience Award e sponsor tecnici che mettono in palio i propri prodotti.Nato nel 2004 a Budapest, il VJ Torna, è un appuntamento fisso per vj e appassionati che vanta collaborazioni in tutto il mondo.Nel 2012 il VJTorna si prepara anche per le edizioni di Berlino, San Paolo, Bogotà, Roma e Città del Messico.
