Bio
Serge Baeken (1967) is a graphic mercenary, drawing for magazines like Knack, Trends and de Tijd. The Dutch newspaper NRC that sent him to China to picture an image of the rapidly evolving country, named him "a fountain of ink". Besides in regular galleries and artistic projects, he's been exposing in the strangest places, like dancing la Rocca, an SM-sex-shop, a Bed & Breakfast, and the prestigious Mercator Insurance Gallery. And he loves drawing comics too! Bries published his award winning debut The No Stories and a 24-hour-comic ZZZ. Houtekiet did The Antwerp Virgin. Other stories where published in magazines like Stripgids, Zone5300, Pulpman and Penthouse Comix. Dutch publisher Xtra collected and published some of Serge's recent vast graphic output in three 400-pagers titled Prefab, Shuffle en 50/50.
