Vilniaus Knygų Mugė 2011
Kitais metais Vilniaus knygų mugė minės rašytojo, poeto, Nobelio premijos laureato Č. Milošo (Czesław Miłosz) 100 metų gimimo jubiliejų. Todėl viena iš mugės temų bus skirta diskusijoms apie valstybių sienas ir tautinių tapatybių ribas peržengiančios literatūros ypatumus, kultūros ir politikos sąsajas.

Kitais metais Vilniaus knygų mugė minės rašytojo, poeto, Nobelio premijos laureato Č. Milošo (Czesław Miłosz) 100 metų gimimo jubiliejų. Todėl viena iš mugės temų bus skirta diskusijoms apie valstybių sienas ir tautinių tapatybių ribas peržengiančios literatūros ypatumus, kultūros ir politikos sąsajas. Mugėje nemažai dėmesio bus skiriama ir M.K. Čiurlionio kūrybai. Jo 100-osios mirties metinės įtrauktos į 2011 m. UNESCO minimų datų sąrašą.

The Vilnius Book Fair is the main annual meeting place of publishers, book sellers, writers and readers, it is important cultural activity for both, book-lovers and for the trade.
 
 
The 12’th international Vilnius Book Fair
February 17-20, 2011

The Vilnius Book Fair is the main annual meeting place of publishers, book sellers, writers and readers, it is important cultural activity for both, book-lovers and for the trade. The distinctive feature of the Vilnius Book Fair is the abundance of cultural events, especially meetings with the well known Lithuanian and foreign writers. Cultural programme attracts thousand of book lovers from Lithuania and neighbouring countries.
Every year the Vilnius Book Fair highlights one concrete topic. This time the fair calls to discuss upon the literature without frontiers, the links between culture and politics. The topic is dedicated to the 100 birth anniversary of the Polish writer, poet, Nobel prize winner Czesław Miłosz whose biography and creation is closely connected with Lithuania.
The Vilnius Book Fair also commemorates the 100’th death anniversary of the famous Lithuanian artist M.K.Čiurlionis, this anniversary is included by UNESCO into the list of important dates in 2011.
