25. DOK.FEST Internationales Dokumentarfilmfestival München
In May 2010 the Munich International Documentary Film Festival will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. A programme of artistically outstanding and socially relevant films from Germany and abroad will be presented in Munich for the 25th time. In two weeks it will be DOK.fest time, with 72 films in 10 sections and an array of events, supporting programmes and parties.
The competition internationally renowned classical productions which triggered the feeling in the world and interests. The films in this section shall be appointed for the documentary: Filmaward: 2010 of Bayerischer Rundfunk and Telepool GmbH A new competition of German language films that address regional issues fascinating. The films in this section shall be appointed for the BLM Film Awards 2010 Bavarian Authority for Private Broadcasting The competition for film developing and emerging countries, which have been made in difficult situations or financial policies and the promotion of human rights, social justice and sustainable development. These films are nominated for the festival Horizons Award. ART is the sponsor of DOK.horizons. The section for international productions that everyone should see. An assortment of current and innovative documentaries from around the world. Film directors who live in Bavaria are also nominated for the award-FFF-Documentary Talent Show of the Cinema and Television Fund FilmFernsehFond Bayern Bavaria. DOK.fest Monaco presents for the first time in his section DOK.guest Africa, films about Africa and eleven different African countries. famous authors from African countries are represented with their film, while Europeans and North Americans will be directors showing their recent work on the region:

The section is an independent DOK.education the International Documentary Film Festival in Monaco of Bavaria and is aimed at young people and teachers in its content and its form. In this new section will show two films screening that deal with issues affecting young people: bullying, growing up and subculture. DOK.education is supported by the Foundation for Media Education Foundation Medienpädagogik Bavaria Bayern Munich and Monaco alliance Courage "Eine Initiative gegen Gewalt".
The Monaco International Documentary Film Festival, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, will be screening five major works by the famous East German, including the film Leben in Wittstock, with whom Volker Koepp was represented at the first DOK.fest time in 1985.

Volker Koepp is a constant scene of the few great German documentary film. DEFA era had created timeless masterpieces with his film about the life and work in the GDR. After German reunification has also gained international fame and attracted a large audience for his films.

DOK.retro is supported by the DEFA-Stiftung. DOK.special HFF-Panorama The University of Cinema and Television of Monaco of Bavaria has two program blocks packed with a selection of their most successful production since last year.
DOK.special HFF-Atelier Famous directors present their films at the University of Monaco of Bavaria for film and television and be there for discussion with the audience afterwards.
Premieres Monaco DOK.special A platform for filmmakers, both established and new talent from Monaco of Bavaria.
DOK.special One-off special screenings with surrounding programs: In Memoriam Christian Bauer, Katholische Akademie, European Film Award.
You see what I see? The reality is a matter of perspective. A short film contest organized by the Association raumwandler Monaco of Bavaria in cooperation with DOK.fest Monaco of Bavaria. The three best documentaries of 60 seconds will win a Canon camera.
Average mimikri Talent Award issued by the network media mimikri subtitle: The best German production of new talent will have their next film subtitles, to support its participation in international festivals.
DOK.tour The festival tour. Six films selected by the program will tour through the city in Bavaria after the festival.
