Dancer and choreographer. In 1989 she got the diploma in Paris at the "Rencontres Internationales de Danse Contemporaine" (R.I.D.C.), directed by Françoise and Dominique Dupuy. She continued her training with Trisha Brown each member of her company in Bruxelles and with Shelley Center, Greg Lara, Josée Cazeneuve and Odile Rouquet in Paris. Since 1995 she is co-director of “Moto Armonico-Danza" Company, which has carried on a continuous research work and experimental activity on the relationship between music and dance and on stage interaction between dancers and musicians. In the last few years owing to the intensification of such an activity the Company has earned a renown in musical world and its work has been appreciated and rewarded by contemporary dance authoritative exponents. The latest repertory enumerates: Risonanze (1995), Come ombre nella casa (1995), Con dedica (1996), Passanti per la via (1996), Opus 3 (1998), Ouverture (1999), Mosaico (2000), Clinamen (2001), Malgré tout (2006), Elvira e Ruggero (2006). “Opus 3” was one of the three pieces chosen by the “Romaeuropa Foundation” to represent italian contemporary dance in South America, within “Latina 2000” project, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it was performed in Santiago (Chile) in November 2000. The great success met with the audience in Santiago induced the local Italian Institute of Culture to confer a special honour to the company Moto Armonico-Danza and on that occasion Patrizia Lo Sciuto, were invited to hold a seminary on the techniques of composition created by the Company itself, at the Dance Department of Santiago Faculty of Arts. “Clinamen” was performed in “Remscheid Tanz” festival in Germany, in June 2003. In novembre 2003 Patrizia Lo Sciuto danced at Wuppertal (Germany) in “Musikfestival 3. Art”, “ 11 Fugues” performance by Bernd Uwe Marszan, who his soloist in the Pina Bausch Company.
In may 2007 she performed in the installation « Stanza di Luce » during a residential creation period, at National Choreographic Center “Ballet Preljocaj” in Aix en Provence.
