ITA-Solquest, al secolo, Stefano Spataro nasce musicalmente nell’estate del 1998 come bassista rock. Dopo aver suonato per parecchi anni in diverse bands del panorama tarantino (tra cui Ritratto di un Mattino, gruppo progressive da lui fondato), inizia a sperimentare nuove sonorità musicali, mettendo su un progetto in solo con lo pseudonimo di Solquest. l'ispirazione nasce dall’ascolto di gruppi di musica elettronica anni ’70 e di qui la passione per sintetizzatori e affini. Il primo lavoro completo si ha con Sphera (2005), un cd di 4 tracce che ricordano un pò il Krautrock più ambient e spaziale, per poi proseguire con Atomic Age (2006) e Green Dust (2007), lavori orientati su una elettronica più moderna.
Rispetto ai lavori precedenti, Private, l’ultimo lavoro da lui prodotto, presenta delle sonorità più intimiste e frastagliate: protagonista è il basso trattato con ogni tipo di effetto e con l'aiuto di loop. Il cd è attualmente in free-download sulla net-label "Lepers produtcion" per la quale ha composto un brano apparso nella compilation natalizia edita dalla stessa (e anche questa scaricabile gratuitamente).
Attualmente è al lavoro di un documento audio video diviso in 5 momenti dal nome "Fiare Vechi", e viene coadiuvato in questo da Florentina Decianu che lo aiuta attivamente sia nelle riprese sia nel creare le ambientazioni audio necessarie.
Dal Novembre 2006 Stefano suona in un duo Punk-progressive tarantino chiamato Ada-Nuki, coadiuvato dal batterista Giorgio Maniglia (Logan, Psychotica records). I due hanno inciso tra Maggio e Giugno del 2007 un disco con la produzione di Fabio Magistrali in uscita a Maggio di quest'anno. Suona ed è co-fondatore del progetto HysM? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ENG- Stefano Spataro is a musician since the summer ’98, and he starter to play as a bassist. He started to experiment new musical sounds, building a solo project with the pseudonym Solquest. The idea was born from hearing ‘70’s electronic bands like Tangerine Dream, Cluster and Klaus Shulze e than the passion for synthesizers. The first work is Sphera (2005), a cd with 4 tracks that remember the sound of the electronic Krautrock, and than Atomic Age (2006) and Green Dust (2007), oriented on a more modern electronic music.
Compared with the previous works, Private, the last work he produced, has more intimiste and jagged sonorities: the protagonist is the bass, treated with any kind of effect and with the help of loops. The CD is currently in free-download on the net-label "Lepers produtcions" for which he composed a song appeared in its Christmas compilation.
He is currently at work an audio/video project divided into 5 moments called "Fiare Vechi," and is assisted in this by Florentina Decianu who actively helps both in shoots both in creating the necessary audio ambientations.
From the November 2006 Stefano plays in a Punk-Prog duo called Ada-Nuki, with the drummer Giorgio Maniglia (Logan, Psychotica records). The two have recorded between May and June 2007 a cd with the help of Fabio Magistrali output in May this year. Stefano plays and co-founder of the project HysM?
