I am a writer, researcher, performer and director.
Occupation:
I am currently working on a PhD at Roehampton University, London, entitled "What was Before isn't Anymore: Image and the Italian Postavantgarde", an investigation on image and its use and understanding in the theatres - and the memory of the theatres - of the Italian late 1970s and early 1980s.
My previous research has chiefly been concerned with the theorization of an intersensory image in performance and with the theatre of the Soćetas Raffaello Sanzio. My latest thesis was entitled 'Fac ut Ardeat Cor Meum: an Experiment in Listening to Visual Theatres'.
Alongside my research, I have been working with my company, PALAZZO, based in London and Glasgow. I am currently collaborating with musician Robert Jack for the Palermitan record label Wool Shop Productions and with the company Four Second Decay with which I will work on a project for PSi Utrecht: Camillo 2.0 in May 2011.
