Hi everybody, I m glad to join this great and attractive community and magazine...
I m Patrizia from Palermo and I love my city and my island as much as I love getting in contact with different peoples and coutries.
I graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Cultures with highest mark in July 2010 and now I ve been translating from Italian into English and viceversa and studying Arabic between Palermo and Damascus.
I was an Erasmus student in Limerick( Ireland ) in 2008-2009 and my stay there allowed me to decide the topic for my dissertation. I did a sociolinguistic work on the relationship between the Irish and their national language. The Republic of Ireland is a bilingual country. The national language is Irish, while the second ufficial but not national language, is English...In short the latter is the language spoken by the majority of the population, while the former is a minority language under the prestige of a national title...i FOUND ALL THIS INTERESTING and fruit of a "postcolonial" era...
Travelling is part of my life and NOw I know I couldn't live without it. Music is also my soul-feeder... I have fun in "playing" piano and guitar. Beauty is my muse and observing is one of my favourite games. Cheers.
