Rags of Memory is a project of research and education in the performing arts, created and directed by Instabili Vaganti, whose theme of research is the memory considered as essential part of the human being, as a biological and anthropological condition to one's own existence. The project explores new ways of artistic expression and theatrical communication through the interaction with other disciplines such as cultural anthropology, visual arts, new media, dance, music and every other artistic form and expression of which man has memory. Rags of Memory is a “creative” artistic project, of contamination and experimentation that combines cultural tradition to innovation and that aims to the re-elaboration and re-definition of a new ritual.
__East meets West | IV° international session | Italy – Mexico – South Korea – India __
East meets West will be from 16 to 23 November 2013 at LIV Performing Arts Centre of Bologna and in the third edition of the Festival Ogni Mille Passi Doppi | Andante at Teatro Tempio of Modena. The theme of research will be the relation and comparison between East and West, tradition and innovation. The participants, coming from Mexico, South Korea, India, Iran, will reflect upon the theme with their own peculiar artistic abilities in the perspective of an inter-exchange of techniques and languages which aims to the creation of a process of artistic contamination and sharing of languages. On 23 November 2012 at the end of the session the performance/demonstration of work East meets West will be presented at Teatro Tempio of Modena with the directors of the project Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola, the performers participant to the session Park Sun-Young and Francisco Medina, the musician Daniele Bove and with the participation at distance of artists and writers from India and Iran.

International sessions
International sessions of work are intensive programs of higher education and cultural interchange directed by Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola open to visual artists, performers, musicians, video-makers coming from all over the world. During the sessions the international team of participants will work to the creation of artistic materials: physical and vocal actions, installations, musical compositions, artistic videos, set designs, which become essential part of the guide performing structure, created by the director. During the session a part of physical and vocal training directed by the company is organized, moments of exchange and sharing of traditional performing techniques, their re-elaboration and actualization through the contemporary arts, meetings with artists of different disciplines, scholars and anthropologists. In the sessions some events are organized: work demonstrations, study presentations, conferences, meetings of video-photographic presentation of the project, exhibits, installations.

Le 23 novembre 2013 à la fin de la session la performance/démonstration de travail East meets West sera présentée chez le Teatro Tempio de Modena, avec les directeurs du projet Anna Dora Dorno et Nicola Pianzola, les performer participants à la session Park Sun-Young et Francisco Medina, le musicien Daniele Bove et avec la participation à distance d'artistes et écrivains de l'Inde et Iran.

Les sessions internationales
Les sessions internationales de travail sont des parcours intensifs de haute formation et échange culturel dirigées par Anna Doro Dorno et Nicola Pianzola et ouvertes à artistes visuels, performer, musiciens, videomakers de partout dans le monde. Pendant les sessions le groupe international des participants travaillera à la création de matériaux artistiques : actions physiques et vocales, installations, compositions musicales, vidéos artistiques, scénographies, qui deviennent partie intégrante de la structure performative guide, crée par la metteur en scène. Pendant la session est prévue une partie d'entraînement physique et vocal dirigé par la compagnie, des moments d’échange et de partage de techniques performatives traditionnelles, leur ré-élaboration et actualisation avec les arts contemporains, rencontres avec des artistes de différentes disciplines, studieux et anthropologues. Dans les sessions il y aura une série d'événements : démonstrations de travail, présentations d'études, conférences, rencontres de présentation vidéo photographique du projet, expositions, installations.

I partecipanti, provenienti da Messico, Corea del Sud, India, Iran, saranno chiamati a riflettere sul tema con le proprie peculiari abilità artistiche nell’ottica di un interscambio di tecniche e linguaggi che mira alla creazione di un processo di contaminazione artistica e di condivisione di linguaggi. Il 23 novembre 2013 al termine della sessione sarà presentata presso il Teatro Tempio di Modena la performance/dimostrazione di lavoro East meets West con i direttori del progetto Anna Dora Dorno e Nicola Pianzola, i performers partecipanti alla sessione Park Sun-Young e Francisco Medina, il musicista Daniele Bove e con gli interventi a distanza di artisti e scrittori da India e Iran.

Le sessioni internazionali
Le sessioni internazionali di lavoro sono dei percorsi intensivi di alta formazione e interscambio culturale dirette da Anna Dora Dorno e Nicola Pianzola aperte ad artisti visivi, performer, musicisti, videomakers provenienti da tutto il mondo. Durante le sessioni il team internazionale dei partecipanti lavora alla creazione di materiali artistici: azioni fisiche e vocali, installazioni, composizioni musicali, video artistici, scenografie, che diventano parte integrante della struttura performativa guida, creata dalla regista. Durante la sessione è prevista una parte di training fisico e vocale diretto dalla compagnia, momenti di scambio e condivisione di tecniche performative tradizionali, la rielaborazione ed attualizzazione delle stesse mediante le arti contemporanee, incontri con artisti di differenti discipline, studiosi e antropologi. All’interno delle sessioni sono previste una serie di eventi: dimostrazioni di lavoro, presentazioni di studi, conferenze, incontri di presentazione video fotografica del progetto, mostre, installazioni.
